The project will focus on cleaning up the coastline of the Gulf of Thailand and the canals of Bangkok from waste and pollution
AGNI GALLERY is proud to announce the launch of its environmental initiative, Agni Project, a long-term charitable effort aimed at cleaning up Bangkok’s canal system and protecting the coastline of the Gulf of Thailand from plastic pollution.
In collaboration with Clean Nature Center and TerraCycle Thai Foundation, the Agni Project held its first community-driven #CanalCleanUp event in the Lat Phrao canal. The dedicated volunteers came together for a powerful hands-on experience, removing 2,144 kilograms of waste from the waterway — waste that would otherwise have flowed into the Chao Phraya River and into the ocean.
"All collected waste was sorted and processed responsibly, with zero landfill impact," said the organizing team. "This was not only a cleanup, but also an awareness campaign — a way to reconnect people with their environment and encourage everyday choices that help reduce waste at home, at work, and in their
communities."
The event provided participants with an eye-opening look at the waste crisis, including direct involvement in trash collection from boats, hands-on sorting workshops, and storytelling sessions with the local community. Unusual and alarming items collected included motorbike helmets, shoes, children’s toys, travel bags, and even animal remains.
Participants also shared insights into how they plan to change their daily habits — from using fewer single-use plastics and bringing reusable bags to educating their families and communities on waste segregation.
The event ended on a positive note with games, community discussions, and commitments to continue this work. As one participant put it: "The hands-on activities, the workshops, and the games were beyond educational and impactful. Good job, AGNI PROJECT!"
Funds raised from the event will go directly toward future waste collection and processing efforts. AGNI GALLERY hopes this is just the beginning of a larger movement toward ocean conservation and environmental responsibility.
The clean up initiatives will be held on a regular monthly basis.

ABOUT TerraCycle Thai Foundation
Established in 2018, the TerraCycle Thai Foundation collaborates with local communities in Thailand to tackle plastic pollution. Their efforts focus on capturing marine debris from polluted waterways before it reaches the ocean, supporting local waste workers, identifying recycling and market solutions for collected materials, researching regional waste trends, and educating the public on best practices to reduce plastic pollution.
ABOUT Clean Nature Center
The Clean Nature Center actively engages in environmental conservation by organizing art-based clean-up events, eco-marathons, and volunteer rafting expeditions across six countries. They promote waste segregation (РСО), provide consultancy to organizations, and assist individuals in adopting eco-friendly lifestyles. Since 2021, the center has organized over 180 eco-events, cleared 845 hectares of natural territories, collected over 11,000 bags of garbage for recycling, and planted more than 40,000 trees, with the goal of planting 130,000 trees by the end of 2025.
