Cohle Gallery is delighted to present Adam Handler first personal exhibition in France named « Twinkling
Unknows », it will take place from April 7th to April 24th.
The paintings presented will continue his exploration of childhood nostalgia as well as the evolution of his
most beloved subjects; the ghost and the girl. More specifically the paintings will largely consist of cosmic
and celestial backgrounds blurring the lines of reality...finding a home between a nightmare and fairytale.
Adam Handler’s work has always teetered somewhere between sweetness and sadness and the longing for
yesterday or tomorrow and placing his subjects into the cosmos only confirms the uncertainties we all face;
like the unknown universe. At times the works will contain phrases such as “Miss you” or “Sorry” which
allows the viewer a vague reference point for the meaning of the piece but more importantly offers the viewer
its own interpretation of the work based on ones own life experiences.
